Baldwins Lane, Rickmansworth

Site: Baldwins Lane

Client: Three Rivers District Council

Date Installed: June 2014

The exciting new parkour developments in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire have now been installed at two sites in Baldwins Lane at Croxley Green, and King George V Mill End.

Freemove won the opportunity to install these influential sites, following an extensive tender and consultation process with local traceur’s, the surrounding communities and Three Rivers District Council.

Both sites have undergone a massive investment from Three Rivers District Council, who recognised the huge potential and need for parkour facilities in Rickmansworth due to the growing community there.  The two new parkour parks also offer local communities an exciting alternative to the usual sports and fitness options.

Each site has been specifically designed in conjunction with Parkour Generations, Freemove and Three Rivers District Council.   The parks not only meet the needs of current traceurs in the area, by offering a challenging and variety of obstacles, but can be used by beginners to start their training and so the sites can be used for teaching purposes.

Traceurs have already had the chance to enjoy the new facilities. Liam Ellis from Salibsury has commented, “"Top parkour park, well made with plenty of opportunity for creativity and invention. Challenging Enough for the advanced practitioner yet caters easily to the novice learner. Fantastic place for friends to train and have fun”.
